(A),(B),(D), and (E) is not the answer because (A) does not have the inequality sign and the sign of (B),(D), and (E) does not have to change because there is no negative number in the answer. So the answer is(C).

It's not (A) because 3*5=15+2=17...2*5=10+7=17.
